Ralph Edgar Chilton, 78, of Lawrenceburg, husband of 60 years to Selena Hanks Chilton, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born November 27, 1938 in Anderson County, KY, Ralph was raised in Salvisa the son of the late Melvin and Margaret Coubert Chilton.

Including his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Ray Chilton and two siblings, Pauline Fannin and Raymond Chilton.

Ralph was a 1957 graduate of Mercer County High School and a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church. He was a lifetime farmer and worked 38 years for Seagram's and Four Roses Distillery.

Along with his wife, Ralph is survived by his daughter, Carol (Mike) Samples of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren Carrie (Chris) Reisenbeck of Lawrenceburg and Jason Samples (Brittany Raeuchle) of Hebron; a sister, Hazel (Bob) Fraine of Frankfort; and a brother, Harold Chilton of Harrodsburg.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 16 ^th beginning at 11 AM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Dr. Mike Hamrick will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 8 PM.
