Phillip Gordon Montgomery 74, of Frankfort, husband of the late Betty Ellis Montgomery, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 at his residence in Frankfort. Born April 30, 1942 in Nicholasville, KY, Phillip was the son of the late Leonard Gordon and Hannah Underwood Montgomery.

Phillip previously worked as a carpenter and enjoyed spending time fishing.

Phillip is survived by a daughter, Rachel Denise Foley of Frankfort and a son Jeffery Neal Montgomery of Nicholasville; One sister, Rose Annetta Smith of Frankfort and one brother J.B. Montgomery of Frankfort; two grandchildren, Charles Lee Pete Foley and Kayla Nicole Richardson Stallings.

Along with his wife and parents, Phillip was preceded in death by one son, James Gordon Montgomery, and four sisters, Mary Elizabeth, Louise Estes, Geneva Burton and Katherine Walling; two brothers Bobby Nelson and David Lee Montgomery.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 7 ^th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. George Dye officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 11- 1 PM Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Charles W. Foley Jr., James Scott, Carl String Fellow, Charles Lee Pete Foley, Chad Ryder and Tommy Garces.
