LAWRENCEBURG – Philip Edgar Goss, 80, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville. He was born in Cambridge, MA to the late Philip Edwin and Anna Toretta Goss.

Philip was of the Catholic faith, a retired postal inspector, and served as a medic in the U.S. Army during Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Patty Phillips Goss; 4 children, Philip E. Goss of AK, Kathy Goss of LA, Patricia Goss-Chase (Mike) of MA, and David Goss (Michelle) of MA; 2 step-sons, Phillip Tracey (Marla) and Charles Tracey (Claudette), both of Lawrenceburg; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a sister Phyllis Conlon of MA. Including his parents he was preceded in death by a son Paul Goss.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, Feb. 12th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Fr. John Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Woody Phillips, Paul Goodlett, Chuck Tracey, Phillip Tracey, Josh White, and Willie Martens.
