Peter "Pete" Mayewski, Jr., 66, husband of Leonila "Nila" Villanueva Mayewski, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019. Pete was born March 9, 1953 in Anderson County to the late Peter Mayewski, Sr. and Alma Faye (Drury) Mayewski.

Including his parents, Pete was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Fint.

Pete was a former supervisor for Vaughn Tobacco Company in Lexington, caretaker for the late Elsie Corn, and attended Goshen Baptist Church. Pete loved his family and neighbors. He was an avid Kentucky basketball fan, enjoyed fishing, and was a proud supporter of the Police K-9 Program.

Including his wife, Pete is survived by two daughters, Stacy Mayewski Kottonbrook and husband Matthew of Waverly, OH and Britney Mayewski of West Virginia; five grandchildren, Cody Rawlins, Garrett Rawlins, Devyn Coriell, Alyssa Runyon and Layken Runyon; a sister, Sharon Scott and husband Sam of Irvine; two brothers, Joe Mayewski of Lawrenceburg, and Glenn Mayewski and wife Lisa of Frankfort; and a brother-in-law, George Fint of Lawrenceburg.

A memorial service will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery Pavilion with Dr. Robert Ehr officiating.  A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church Pantry.
