Peggy Jo Leffew Warner, 71, passed away on April 23, 2026, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, Kentucky. Born September 1, 1954, in Lebanon, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Roy Davis Leffew and Mattie Pearl Elliott Bedford.

Peggy Jo was a member of Ninevah Christian Church in Lawrenceburg, where her strong faith and love for Jesus guided her life. She faithfully served Anderson County Schools for over 19 years as a substitute teacher, a role she truly loved. Peggy Jo was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Cincinnati Reds, with cherished memories of watching the Big Red Machine at Riverfront Stadium in the 1970s. She deeply loved her family and enjoyed flowers and reading. She also formerly worked at GE in Louisville and Save-A-Lot in Lawrenceburg.

Peggy Jo is survived by her sons, Phillip Warner (Cedar Potts-Warner) of Danville, Kentucky, and James Travis Lee Warner of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; her brothers, Terry Lee Bedford of Frankfort, Kentucky, and Michael Bedford (Robin) of Stamping Ground, Kentucky; her sister, Rebecca Ann Leffew (Bud Tungate) of Lebanon, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Emma Louise Sallee and Liam Lee Warner; and her beloved golden, Ellie "Nala."

In addition to her parents, Peggy Jo was preceded in death by her stepfather, William "Bill" Bedford.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, with Will Cooper and Bro. Steve Wells officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service, in keeping with Peggy Jo's wishes.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, and again on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Lee Bedford, Michael Bedford, Jimmy Bedford, Bobby Bedford, Billy Bedford, and Carolyn Gates.
