Peggy Jo Young Terrell, 86, of Chaplin, wife of Bobby L. Terrell, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Signature Healthcare Taylorsville.  Born in Anderson County on January 12, 1938, Peggy was the daughter of the late Charles Wesley Young and Onie Daniel Hahn Young.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lulie Buntain, Frances Riley, John Young, Carl Young, Jimmy Young, Betty Mattingly, Bobby Young, and Billy Young.

A homemaker, Peggy was a member of the Chaplin Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.  She enjoyed eating out with her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Including her husband Bobby, she is survived by three children, Laketa (Wayne) Colvin of Bloomfield, Sarita (Jeff) Goff of Chaplin, and Scotty (Lora) Terrell of Bloomfield; five grandchildren, Miranda Goff, Tyler (Taylor) Colvin, Jordan Colvin, Madison Terrell, and Mallory Terrell; four great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Wilanna Young and Judy Young Link, both of Lawrenceburg.

Visitation will be 10 AM - 12 PM Saturday, May 18, 2024 followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM Saturday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Rev. Lee Cox will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Highview Cemetery, Chaplin, KY.  Peggy's family will serve as pallbearers.
