Funeral Service Broadcast for Peggy Peach

Peggy Ruth Hawkins Peach, age 67, wife of 13 years to Bobby Joe Peach, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024 in Lawrenceburg. Peggy was born May 4, 1956 in Georgetown, KY to the late Rev. Oliver Clay Hawkins, Sr. and Joy Elaine Ottersbach Hawkins.

Including her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by an infant son, Martin Tyler Ratliff; and a sister, Carla Repp.

Peggy was a member of the New Life Christian Church, a graduate of Kentucky State University, where she received her Associate Degree in Nursing and then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Midway College. She retired from the VA Medical Center in Lexington and worked with Lawrenceburg Ambulance Service for six years. She was the first woman to be hired by the ambulance service. Peggy was a CASA, ASAP, and SOS volunteer in Anderson County.  She served as District 2 Board Member for the Anderson County Board of Education. Peggy loved politics, reading, traveling, cruises, music, flowers and going to Lincoln Jamboree in Hodgenville. But her greatest love and enjoyment were her grandchildren.  She was so very proud of each of them.

Including her husband Bobby, Peggy is survived by her daughter, Gretchen Crouch; and her son, Clay Crouch (Crystal), all of Lawrenceburg; her beloved step children, Joey Peach of Shelbyville and Bobbie Kaye Darnell (Allen) of Anderson County; her grandchildren, David Jay Bierly, Christian Asher Bierly, Wyatt Cash Crouch and Colbee Alisabeth Crouch; two step grandsons and 3 great step grandchildren; her sisters, Anita Landry (Russell) of Houston, TX, Bonnie Turner (Robert) of Elizabethtown, KY, and Bette Inman (Norman) of Springfield, KY; a brother, Oliver Clay Hawkins, Jr. (Valerie ) of Morrow, OH; and a brother-in-law, Ron Repp of Jeffersonville, IN.

Peggy's memorial service will be 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Garrett Franklin and Oliver Hawkins, Jr. officiating.  Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M.till the time of service at 7:00 P.M.
