Patsy Louise Monroe Sims, 82, died Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Arthur Thomas Sims.

She was born March 16, 1933 in Anderson County, KY to the late Albert Zachary and Eliza McGaughey Monroe. She was a former cashier with Slones Market, Pic & Pac and Foodtown in Lawrenceburg and enjoyed farming. She was a former 4-H Leader and a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church.

She is survived by three children, Thomas "Buddy" (Sharon) Sims, Jr. of Lawrenceburg, Patricia Ann (Earl Lee) Chilton of Mercer County and Fay (Lynn) Royalty of Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren, Tammy Louise (James) Gill of Nicholasville, Amy Elizabeth Sims and Bridgette Lane Sims, both of Ohio, Greg Royalty and Derek (Brooke) Royalty, all of Bowling Green; two great grandchildren, Lena Ann Chilton and Dustin Lee Gill, both o f Nicholasville; four step grandsons, Gregory (Amanda) Neill of Lewisville, TX, David (Jaime) Neill of Kappa, IL, Michael and Brandon Gill, both of Nicholasville; four step great grandchildren, Brady Neill, Kappa, IL, Natalie Neill, Kayden Neill and Kolton Neill, all of Lewisville, TX; and a brother, Bobby Monroe of Lawrenceburg.

Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Jesse Searcy.

Funeral service will be 11 am, Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Hamrick and Grandson Derek Royalty officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Spring Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 – 8 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
