Pastor James Wilson Kinney, II, age 85, of Salvisa, KY, husband of the late Betty Jean Tuttle Kinney, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the home of his son in Versailles. Born May 15, 1930 in Petersburg, Illinois, he was the son of the late William Roy Kinney and Emma Lee Denton Kinney.

Mr. Kinney was a retired 22 year employee of Rand McNally in Versailles. After graduating from Clear Creek Bible College, Pastor Kinney began his preaching career at White Lick Baptist Church followed by Providence Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and Fellowship Baptist Church. Currently, he was a member and deacon of the Salvisa Baptist Church.

Mr. Kinney is survived by four sons, James W. (fiancée Lisa) Kinney III, Terry L. (wife Marylene) Kinney, Timothy E. (wife Marilyn) Kinney, Philip W. (wife Adeline) Kinney; 8 grandchildren, James W. (wife Christy) Kinney IV, Tony (wife Becky) Kinney, Adam Kinney, Maria Kinney, Nicholas Kinney, Bia Kinney, Jacob Kinney, and Jeelian Kinney; 2 step grandchildren, Chad and Connor Runyan; 6 great grandchildren, James W. Kinney V, Jonathan Kinney, Ashley Thomas McGaughey, Brooklyn Kinney, Aidan Kinney, and Amirra Runyan; and had nine siblings, Walter Glen Brubaker, Glenna M. Doyle, Katherin L. Ex, William Roy Kinney II, Ernest Lee Kinney, Emma E. Reimer, Robert Paul Kinney, Allen Kinney, and Edith I. Bell.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Jonathan Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be after 9:30 AM Saturday until the time of service.

Serving as pallbearers will be, James W. Kinney III, Terry L. Kinney, Timothy E. Kinney, Philip W. Kinney, James W. Kinney IV, Nichlas Kinney, Adam Kinney, and Tony Kinney.
