Pastor Carl Bush Live Broadcast

Pastor Carl Amos Bush, 83, husband of Jean Tackett Bush, passed to be with his Savior on Thursday, March 23, 2023. Born in Hart County, KY on October 15, 1939, Carl was the son of the late Claude Amos Bush and Lela Mae Forrest Bush.

An auto mechanic for 30+ years, he loved to fish and hunt with his son.  Carl was an avid guitar player and singer.  He and his wife, Jean, sang and presented music for churches, nursing homes and other engagements for over 10 years.  He was ordained as a minister in 2000 at Fellowship Baptist Church.  He re-opened the Salt River Primitive Baptist Church in 2007 and the name was changed to Salt River Independent Baptist Church.  The church celebrated its 15 ^th Anniversary on September 30, 2022.  Carl never met a stranger and was loved by many.

Including Jean, his wife of almost 30 years, he is survived by children, Terry (Patsy) Bush, Serena Richards, Kim (Ed) Moody, Mike (Prindle) Hinton, Kelly (Coy) Chilton, and Rusty (Natalie) Fryman; 22 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kelsi Benningfield; a son-in-law, Marlon Richards, and his three siblings, Teaney Butler, Shirley West, and Dorothy Locke.

Visitation will be Monday, March 27 ^th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM followed by the service beginning at 1:00 PM Monday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Bro. Jerry Montgomery and Bro. Dallas Daniels will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Cosby Cemetery in Hart County, KY.

Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Bush, Cole Jenkins, Derick Richards, Karl Ebert, Hunter Jenkins, and Clay Jenkins.  Honorary bearers will be Will Butler, Chad Heath, Huntly Chilton, Wyatt Chilton, Jason Bush, Jeremy Robinson, C.J. Bush, Brian Moore, Donnie Peggs, Johnny Metcalf, and James Fryman.
