Opal Bernise Thompson Adkins, 67, passed away on May 25, 2026. Born November 13, 1958, in West Liberty, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Marion Lee Thompson and Bernise Delores Endicott Thompson.

Opal was a graduate of Morgan County High School in West Liberty and worked for many years as a dedicated housekeeper for commercial properties. She dearly loved her grandchildren, Michael and Malayia, and had a special love for animals, especially dogs.

In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her siblings, Norvin Thompson, Patricia Miller, Calvin Thompson, Philip Thompson, Chester Paul Thompson, and Faye Thompson.

Opal is survived by her grandchildren, Michael Lacy and Malayia Lacy, both of Dayton, Ohio, and her siblings, Delena Tipton of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, Elvis (Tonya) Thompson of Winchester, Kentucky, Audie Thompson of Morehead, Kentucky, and Billy Thompson of Clay City, Kentucky.

In keeping with Opal's wishes, she chose cremation. No services are scheduled.
