Onita Peach Buckley, 86, of Lawrenceburg passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She was the widow of R.S. Buckley and daughter of the late John B. and Alma Mae Brown Peach.

Born August 12, 1928 in Anderson County, she was a 1948 graduate of Western High School. Onita retired as an account supervisor for Human Resource Division of KY State Government and formerly worked at Huffman Distillery. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the New Hope Sunday School Class, Kentucky Retirees, and the Anderson County Cattleman's Assoc.

She is survived by a son, Scotty Buckley and his wife Cathy, two grandsons, Tyler (Kelli) Buckley and Justin Buckley, two great grandsons, Colton and Lucas Buckley, and a sister, Pauline Overstreet, all of Lawrenceburg.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas F. Peach, Coleman Peach, and Johnie S. Peach; seven sisters, Ruby Warford, Blanche Sparrow, Rebecca Gritton, Ella Mae Baxter, Arabell Neal, Clara Shely, and Dorothy Rose Peach.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 20th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Ehr and Dr. Jeff Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Monday.

Pallbearers will be Tyler and Justin Buckley, Don Peach, Joe Cook, Terry Coleman Peach, and Larry Simpson. Honorary bearers will be Martin and Stephen Peach, Bobby Joe Gritton, Ronnie Peach, Jerry Peach, and Kevin Warford.
