Nancy Christine Moore Wagenbaur, 75, passed away on January 7, 2026, at Sayre Christian Village in Lexington, Kentucky. Born July 11, 1950, in Richmond, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas Moore and Alice Elizabeth Garrette Moore.

Nancy was a devoted member of Discovery United Methodist Church in Richmond, Virginia. A gifted musician and lifelong lover of the arts, she was a member of the Hanover County Band during her school years and later earned her bachelor's degree in music. She shared her passion for music as a teacher at Washington-Henry Elementary School in the Hanover County Public School District in Ashland, Virginia.

In addition to her work in education, Nancy was a talented and creative floral designer. She was the self-employed owner of The Flower Depot in Ashland, Virginia, and a proud member of the prestigious American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD). Her exceptional talent was recognized throughout the region, including the honor of decorating the Governor's Mansion in Virginia.

Nancy is survived by her sister, Mary Lou (Tom) Hardie of Lexington, Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betsy McLeod.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Friendship Towers at Sayre Christian Village, 580 Greenfield Drive, Lexington, Kentucky 40517.
