Funeral Service for Nancy Warford Brown

Nancy Warford Brown, age 89, wife of the late Albert Stewart Brown, passed to her heavenly home on August 27, 2025 at her home in Lawrenceburg, KY. Born on July 7, 1936, in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Hollie Witherspoon Warford, Sr. and Stella Gertrude Overstreet Warford.

Nancy was a homemaker, also helped her husband on the family farm, and loved sewing. She was an active member of Corinth Christian Church for over 65 years. Her favorite hobby was riding her lawn mower and working in her yard. She loved visiting with friends and never met a stranger. She especially loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She was also known for her lace cookies all around the community.

Nancy is survived by her four children, Janet Cooper (Terry), Gregg Brown (Natalie), Kevin Brown (Stacey), and Paula Sawyer (Matt); two brothers, John R. Warford and Alton L. Warford (Betty); two sisters-in-law, Yuki Warford and Alma Warford; twelve grandchildren, Chad Cooper (Lauren), Audrey Pauleus (Junior), Cheyenne Petro (Jacob), Taylor Settles (Jordan), Lauren DeWoody (Todd), Michael Cooper (Hayley), Brady Sawyer (Shelby), Quinn Brown, Sydney Sawyer, Tanner Brown, McCoy Brown and McKenna Brown; fifteen great grandchildren, Case, Colt, Remi, Ryder, Ezra, Easton, Ellie, Henry, Riggins, Blaire, Sawyer, Parker, Harrison, Preston, and Reagan; and several nieces and nephews.

Including her husband and parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Carol Brown; seven siblings, Marshall Warford (Billie), Hollie Warford, Jr. (Jewell), Davis Warford (Louise), Walter Warford (Blondie), Lawrence Warford, Robert Warford, and Jane Spencer (Jack); and sisters-in-law Shirley Warford and Yvonne Warford.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home with Chad Cooper, Terry Cooper, and Matt Sawyer officiating. Visitation will be Monday, September 1, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and 11:00 AM until time of service on Tuesday at Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lawrenceburg Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Cooper, Michael Cooper, Brady Sawyer, Quinn Brown, Tanner Brown, and McCoy Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Audrey (Junior) Pauleus, Cheyenne (Jacob) Petro, Taylor (Jordan) Settles, Lauren (Todd) DeWoody, Sydney Sawyer and McKenna Brown; the spouses of the pallbearers, Lauren Cooper, Hayley Cooper and Shelby Sawyer; along with family friend Connie Drury.
