Myrtle Louise Rowland McGaughey, 94, wife of the late Herbert McGaughey, Jr., passed away September 13, 2022.  She was a daughter of the late Virgil Rowland and Myrtle Searcy Rowland.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lisa Kelly McGaughey, a sister Connie Farris, and a brother Marion Rowland.

A native of Anderson County, she was born August 1, 1928.  She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Freedom Baptist Church in Anderson County.

Survivors include her five sons, Mike McGaughey of Dayton, OH, Mearl McGaughey (wife Ellen) of Gulf Breeze, FL, Doug McGaughey of Beaver Creek, OH, Rob McGaughey (wife Karen) of Dayton, OH, and Mark McGaughey (wife Dee) of Pell City, AL; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 11 – 1 Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022 followed by the service beginning at 1:00 PM Saturday at Freedom Baptist Church, 1010 Powell Taylor Rd., Lawrenceburg, KY.  Evangelist Mark McGaughey and Bro. Steve Wells will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery.
