Miron Mitchell "Mickey" Bond, 79, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 at his home in the presence of his wife of 60 years, Wilda Ray Overstreet Bond and his loving family.

He was born June 6, 1936 in Anderson County, KY son of the late Hardin Wright Bond and Hellen Louise Mitchell Bond. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melisa Mirona "Missy" Hawkins; two brothers, Norman Gale Bond and Crevin Bond; a sister, Roxie (Ralph) Champion; and a brother-in-law, Claibourne Sea.

Mickey retired as a manager at IBM following 34 years of service. He was a member of the Lawrenceburg First Baptist Church, Fisher's of Men Sunday School Class, and the Anderson Masonic Lodge #90. His many enjoyments included hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening, and woodworking.

Along with his wife, Mickey is survived by a daughter Teresa Ann (Joseph) Miller of Willisburg; a son-in-law, Jeff Hawkins of Lawrenceburg; six grandchildren, Micki Laine (Shawn) Ray, Adrian Ann (Chris) Douglas, Shannon Rae Kinne, Carl Warren (Michelle) Kinne, Rebecca LeLynn Hawkins, and Courtney-Gale Bond Hawkins; two step grandchildren, Jason (Desi) Miller and Elizabeth (Adam) Rhodus; seven great grandchildren, Cameron Clay Harrison, Brayden Warren Harlow, Christopher Lewis Douglas, Jr., Drake Marcus Douglas, Benjamin Cole Kinne, Ryleigh Shay Kinne, and Mallory Jordyn Brown; three step great grandchildren, Ava Marie Miller, Lux Joseph Miller, and Aaron Lee Terhune; a brother Wayne (Connie) Bond and a sister Crevilon Bond; sisters-in-law, Georgia Bond, Elizabeth Sea; and brother-in-law Russell T. (Brenda) Overstreet, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, Aug. 18th at the Lawrenceburg First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert F. Ehr officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Monday at First Baptist Church. Masonic rites will be observed at 7:30 PM Monday at the church.

Kenny, Kerry, and Kelly Sea, Brian Bucklew, Lane Barnette, and Todd Curtis will serve as pallbearers. Honorary bearers will be John and Ann Cheak, Russell Overstreet, Roger Hardin, Nita Isley, Timmie Bond, Margie Bucklew, Griffin Gillis, and First Baptist Church Fisher's of Men Sunday School Class.
