Michael Burton Ashburn, 58, died at his home surrounded by his family in Christiana, TN on May 11, 2017. Born June 14, 1958, he was the son of the late Burton Jr. Ashburn and Sylvia Larkin Ashburn Ritchey, step-son of Curtis Ritchey of Lawrenceburg.

He worked as a lifelong carpenter. He loved his family and the Lord. He never met a stranger that he would not give a helping hand to regardless of the situation.

He is survived by his soul mate Pam Thompson of TN; 3 sons, Michael Burton Ashburn II (Trina), Gilbert Lee Ashburn (Talisha) both of TN, Zachary Ross Ashburn (fiancé Heather Brittian) of Lawrenceburg, KY; five grandchildren, Graham, Kaylee, Bryce, Grayson and Alayna, all of TN; 3 brothers, Jim Ashburn (Mary), John Ashburn (fiancé Jill Roy), Steve Ashburn (Alice) and a sister, Linda Jo Bates (Bill); two step-brothers, James Ritchey (Sandy) and Phillip Ritchey (Phyllis). He was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Avery Grace Ashburn.

Services will be held at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with visitation from 12:00 – 2:00 followed by memorial service at 2:00 on Sunday, May 21 ^st .
