Melinda Loann Henson Gilbert, age 55, wife of Michael Wayne Gilbert, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024.  Melinda was born January 9, 1969 in Louisa, Kentucky to the late Kenneth Drew Henson and Debra Thompson Henson Lemaster.

Melinda was a former medical technician with Frankfort Regional Medical Center, a former clerk with Lawrenceburg Wal-mart and attended Ninevah Christian Church.  Melinda loved to cook and was known for her traditional Eastern Kentucky style.  She was devoted to the people she loved and especially to her grandchildren, whom she adored.

Including her husband Michael, Melinda is survived by her children, Mariah Melissa Driskell and her husband Jonathan of Lawrenceburg, and Stephen Carl Peterman of Michigan; her grandchildren, Rayleigh Marie Driskell and Alaiyna Kenasen Driskell; her siblings, twin sister Iva Melissa "Missy" Henson Collins (Lou), Vicki Thompson Painter and Barbara "Bobbie" Ellen Thompson Compton.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Will Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens in Louisa, KY. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. till time of service at 11:00 A.M.
