Maurice Corn, 89, husband of the late Elaine McGaughey Corn, passed away February 3, 2022 at his home.  Born September 13, 1932 in Washington County, KY, Maurice was a son of the late William Euell Corn and Lucille Matherly Corn.

A farmer and former owner/operator of Corn's Metal Sales in Lawrenceburg, Maurice served on several boards including Farm Bureau, Milk Marketing Inc., Southern States, Burley Tobacco, and in 1974 received the Merit Award from Anderson County Conservation District.  He was a member of the Anderson Lodge #90, Anderson Cattleman's Association, Anderson County Chamber of Commerce, and received his KY Colonel award from then Gov. Martha Layne Collins at the Farm City Day hosted by the Corn family.

Maurice is survived by his five children, Larry Maurice (wife Tina) Corn of Lawrenceburg, John Michael (wife Susie) Corn of Shirley, IN, Patricia Elaine (husband Kennith) Eldridge of Bronston, KY, Pamela Susan Corn and Marla C. Smith, both of Lawrenceburg; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda Gayle Waldridge of Mercer County.  Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashton Deneen Corn; a great granddaughter, Ahlaisha Deneen Bolling; a sister, Imogene Perry; and four brothers, R.C. Corn, Donnie Ray Corn, James William Corn, and Harold Corn.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, Feb. 10 ^th at Sand Spring Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Hamrick and Bro. Randy Peyton officiating.  Burial will follow at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 9 ^th from 3 – 8 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home and on Thursday from 10 AM – 2 PM at Sand Spring Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Maurice's grandsons, Troy Alsabrook, Jay Alsabrook, Dakota Alsabrook, Naytric Haliburton, Justin Corn, Tyler Smith, and Austin Corn.  His granddaughters will serve as honorary bearers.
