Mary Beth Shingleton Nichols, 47, of Lawrenceburg, wife of John H. Nichols, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born January 12, 1969 in Hart County, KY, Mary Beth is the daughter of Oscar "Red" Shingleton, Jr. and Joyce Kay Libby Shingleton of Anderson County, KY.

Beth was a 1988 graduate of Anderson County High School and a former employee of Topy Corporation in Frankfort.

Along with her husband and parents, Beth is survived by six children, Felisha (husband James Phibbs) Hunter, Katie May (Dennis Robinson), and David May, all of Lawrenceburg, Jason Nichols of Port Charlotte, FL, Brian Nichols and Margaret (husband Jason) Adkins, all of Lawrenceburg; 14 grandchildren, James Philbbs, Jr., Jackie (Andrew) Blevins, Mary Prows, Jaina (Skylar) Blaine, Calista Nichols, Leann (Kevin) Bowman, Stephanie (Jeremy) Hicks, Tanner Nichols, Taylor Nichols, Brian Nichols, Jr., Alex Sutherland, Liam Sutherland, Lauren Sutherland, and Bentley Adkins; 6 great grandchildren; two sisters, Alice (Darryl) Proctor and Joyce Shingleton Bast, both of Lawrenceburg; two brothers, Rick (Sarah) Libby of Washington County and Oscar Shingleton, III of Lawrenceburg; and several nieces and nephews; and her beloved puppies, Elizabeth, Sammy, Lenny, and Gabby.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, Oct. 12th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. George Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Alton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 – 8 PM.

Serving as pallbearers will be David May, Cameron Riley, Gary Smith, Jason Nichols, Brian Nichols, and Jason Adkins. Honorary bearers will be Alex and Liam Sutherland, Dennis Robinson, and Jimmy Phibbs.
