Mary Evelyn (Beasley) Hawkins, 73, wife of 34 years to Ronald L. Hawkins, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at her home. Born July 26, 1944 in Versailles, Kentucky, Mary was the daughter of the late James and Nancy (Soard) Beasley.

Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Patterson "Roy" Alves who passed on May 8, 2018, and two brothers, Dickie Beasley and Jimmy Beasley.

Mary loved children and ran her own daycare in Lawrenceburg for many years. She was a member of the Ninevah Christian Church where she was active in many activities including Bible school and the Samaritan's Purse, A.K.A. "Shoe Box Ministry". She enjoyed quilting, cooking, camping especially at Green River, and babysitting children. She thoroughly loved each of her grandchildren.

Including her husband, Mary is survived by a son, Sammy (Missy) Alves of Lawrenceburg; a daughter-in-law, Penny Alves of Nicholasville; 7 grandchildren, Ryan, Jordan, Hannah, Ariauna, Natasha, Tiffany, and Christina; 8 great grandchildren; three brothers, Bill Beasley, Jerry (Minnie) Beasley, Tony (Dixie) Beasley; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Beasley.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 beginning at 2:00 PM at the Ninevah Christian Church, 1195 Ninevah Rd., Lawrenceburg, KY. Pastor Terry Cooper will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12 noon – 2 PM Wednesday at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Alves, Jordan Alves, Sam Laytart, Greg Wells, Jeff Lilly, and Keith Lilly. Honorary bearers will be Bill Beasley, Jerry Beasley, Tony Beasley, Kevin Burgin, and Jared Conn.
