Mary Jo Brown Live Broadcast

Mary Jo Dean Brown, 73, passed away April 10, 2023 at her home in Lawrenceburg.  Born in Frankfort, KY on January 1, 1950, Mary Jo was the daughter of the late William Joseph Deans and Nettie Rose Cox Hall.

Mary Jo received her BA Degree in Business from the University of Kentucky and worked as an auditor in Corporate Tax for Kentucky State Government.  She was a member of Sand Spring Baptist Church and loved the arts.

She is survived by her two children, Dawn Kurrek-Maddox (Harry) and Michael Dean Buntain, both of Lawrenceburg; 7 grandchildren, Alecia (Seth), Kristen (Jourdan), Micah, Brittany (Jimmy), Dylon (Whitney), Nathan (Natalie), Noah, and honorary grandchildren, Sam (Eric), Becky (Reno), and Kyle (Morgan); 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Yvonne Thornberry of Lawrenceburg and Jamie (George) Stratton of Salvisa; a brother, James A. Hall, Jr. of Florida; special family member and friend, Chesta Jewell; and a patriarch uncle, J.R. Cox (Dian) of Bowling Green.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Tracy Anderton.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 14, 2023 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Webb officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Thursday and after 9 AM Friday.

Serving as pallbearers will be George Stratton, Jerry Purcell, Frank Thornberry, Noah Buntain, Seth Walling, and Jourdan Martin.  Honorary bearers will be Lonnie Robinson, Gerald Robinson, Harry Maddox, Kyle Maddox, and Dave Roberts.
