Marvin "Buggaboo" Harvey, Jr., age 49, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at his residence in Lawrenceburg. He was born on October 4, 1975, in Woodford County, KY, to Joyce Ann McKee Harvey and the late Marvin Wilgus Harvey, Sr.

Marvin was a devoted member of Evergreen Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, where he faithfully served as the church's beloved "audio man," ensuring every service ran smoothly behind the scenes. A 1994 graduate of Anderson County High School, Marvin worked in warehouse distribution at Florida Tile in Lawrenceburg. He had a passion for movies and especially enjoyed outings to the movie theater. A former Boy Scout, Marvin also loved attending Lexington Legends baseball games. Family was everything to Marvin—he was known for his loving heart and was especially proud to be his niece Christina's biggest supporter. His kindness, quiet strength, and constant support will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving mother, Joyce Harvey, and stepfather, Charles Garland Harvey, both of Danville, KY; sisters, Roxanna Harvey Dixon and Cassandra Harvey, both of Lawrenceburg, KY; stepsister, Endia Carol Harvey of Lancaster, KY; nephews, Jamar Harvey, Brandon Dixon, and Bryce Dixon; nieces, Christina (Brianna) Harvey and Nakiya (Yanni) Davros; one great-nephew; and two great-nieces.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Evergreen Baptist Church, 508 Lincoln Street, Lawrenceburg, KY, with Rev. Will Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Hills Cemetery, 1352 Harrodsburg Road, Lawrenceburg, KY. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, and again on Wednesday at the church from Noon until the time of service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Damon Graham, Darrick Graham, Aaryn Harvey, Daryn Harvey, Jobey Harvey, John Harvey, Jason Harvey, Troy Mudd, Dale Hudson, and Larry Hudson, Jr.
