Martin Raymond Mattingly, 72 , husband of 54 years to Mary Helen (McKinney) Mattingly, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington.  Martin was born November 27, 1945 in Anderson County, KY to the late Raymond and Mavis (Sweasy) Mattingly.

Martin was a retired welder with Logan Company in Louisville.  He was an active member with the Westside Community Church in Lawrenceburg and an avid UK Wildcat Basketball fan.  Martin was a loving husband and father, and was quick to tell you his favorite hobby was his grandchildren.

Along with his wife Helen, Martin is survived by his children, Terry and his wife Pat and Judith and her husband John, all of Lawrenceburg; a brother, Paul Mattingly and his wife Linda of Shepherdsville;  four grandchildren, Ashley Mattingly, Austin Mattingly, Jordan Thompson and Jaeyln "J-Bird" Thompson;  and his best buddy, Turk.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 23rd beginning at 2:00 PM at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home with Kevin Buntain, Pastor of Westside Community Church officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, from 3 - 8 PM and after 9 AM, Tuesday till time of service.
