Funeral Service for Martha Hale

Martha May Letcher Hale, 82, wife of the late James Hale, passed away September 6, 2025 at U of L - Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Martha was born on October 21, 1942 in Lebanon, IN.  While living in Lebanon, she worked as a service merchandiser at K-Mart.  After moving to Lawrenceburg, KY, Martha became a member of the Alton Christian Church.

Including her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Ruth Ryan Ashley, two sisters, Betty Jane Letcher and Rose Phillips, and a brother, Robert Letcher.

Martha is survived by five children, Jeff (Toni) Hale of Lebanon, IN, Lisa (Marion) Shephenson of West Lebanon, IN, Robin (Dana) Goodlett of Lawrenceburg, KY, Misty (Buck) Ladigo of Williamsport, IN, and Crystal (Justin) Brandenburg of  Hammond, IN; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, September 15, 2025 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St., Lawrenceburg, KY. Bro. Noal Cotton, Jr. will officiate the service.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Oak Hill Cemetery, 935 E. Washington St., Lebanon, Indiana.
