Funeral Broadcast for Marie McKinney

Joyce "Marie" Darnell McKinney, age 74, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at her home in Anderson County.  Joyce was born October 23, 1948 in Anderson County to Louise Drury Darnell of Lawrenceburg and the late Luther Clay Darnell, Sr.

Joyce was a former greeter with Lawrenceburg Wal-mart for over 20 years.  She was a member of Antioch Christian Church, and had attended Anderson Christian for several years.  Joyce was a loyal UK Wildcat Basketball fan.  She had several cats and enjoyed taking care of them.  But her greatest love was her grandchildren, which she adored.

Including her mother Louise, she is survived by her children, Justin Todd Jones of Lawrenceburg,  her daughter Kelly Marie McKinney and her fiancée Zack of Versailles;  five grandchildren, Isabella Nicole Jones, Lainey Taylor McKinney, Canaan Faith Jones, Eden Grace Jones and Alexzander Clay McWilliams;  a sister, Tracy Lique (Pat) of Lawrenceburg;  a brother, Dudley Darnell (Karen) of Lawrenceburg;  and a special long time family friend, Michelle Darnell.

Including her father, Joyce was preceded in death by a brother, Luther Clay Darnell, Jr.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Burdette officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5 - 8 P.M., Monday at the funeral home.

Casket bearers will be Steven Settles, Brandon Settles, Aaron Murphy, Brice Lique, Austin Darnell, Dudley Darnell, Jr., Josh Poole and Zackery McWilliams.  Honorary bearers will be Jeffrey Darnell, Pat Comley and Dudley Darnell, Sr.
