Margaret Josephine "Jo" Hawkins, 80, wife of the late Jimmie Houston Hawkins, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Signature Health Care/Heritage Hall.  Born January 20, 1938 Shelby County, KY, Margaret was the daughter of the late William Robert and Bessie Preston Goodlett.

Margaret was a former Filing Clerk for the Kentucky State Government. She also worked at Huffman Distillery, Florida Tile and Kraft. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Frankfort, KY.

Margaret is survived by one daughter, Dana Layne Williams (Paul) of Lawrenceburg, two sons; Rodney Houston Hawkins and Dale Quinn Hawkins both of Lawrenceburg; one brother, Paul Samuel "Bud" Goodlett of Eminence, two sisters; Rosie Holmes (Donald) and Juanita Swigert (Lynn) both of Shelby County three grandchildren; Robert Lee Hawkins, Rebecca Jo Hawkins, Chad Stratton; and eight Great Grandchildren.

Along with her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her brothers Bob, Eugene "Jack', Raymond, Charles, Carl, and Kenneth Goodlett; four sisters, Nancy Clesser, Lena Mae Gill, Evelyn Ruble, Dorothy Peach

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 22 ^nd beginning at 11:00 AM at Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home. Margarets grandson Bro. Robert Lee Hawkins will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 PM Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Ray Kininmonth, Paul Williams, Marty Peach, Kenneth Kendall, Chad Stratton, and Brandon Bast. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billie Darryl Hawkins, and William Keith Hyatt.
