Mae Catherine Cheak Lewis, 94, widow of Roy Nicholas Lewis, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Signature Health Care – Heritage Hall.  Born October 2, 1922 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Everett Cheak and Basel Mae Siers Cheak.

Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and a member of the Lawrenceburg First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by a step-son, Leroy Lewis and his wife Carol of Bloomfield; a daughter-in-law, Judy Lewis; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; and a brother, Charlie Cheak of Lawrenceburg. Along with her husband, Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by two step-sons, Bradley Lewis and Leon Lewis, a grandson, Mike Lewis, and two brothers, Johnie and Carl Cheak.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Dr. Robert F. Ehr will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 11 AM – 1 PM Tuesday.
