Mable Marie Nutgrass Pinkston, 87, of Anderson County passed away Sat., Feb. 1, 2014 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. She is the daughter of the late Ernest Robert and Mattie W. Hahn Nutgrass.

Mrs. Pinkston was a former employee of Union Underwear, The Anderson News, and a lunch lady at Western High School. She was a member of the New Liberty Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Hamilton Chapter 293. She enjoyed fishing and embroidering.

She is survived by her husband of almost 61 years, J.R. Pinkston; a daughter, Kim Sutherland; 3 grandchildren, Jessica Young (Martin), Jeanie and Jeremy Sutherland; and two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Nutgrass and Margaret O'Conner. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest Clifton Nutgrass and Hubert M. Nutgrass.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Perry officiating . Burial will follow in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin, KY. Visitation will be 4 – 8 pm Tuesday with an Eastern Star service Tues. evening.
