Louise Cox Rucker, 86, wife of the late G.S. Rucker, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Signature Healthcare Spencer County, KY. Born September 6, 1930 in Shelby County, KY, Louise was the daughter of the late Calvin and Mary Alice Moffett Cox.

A housewife, Mrs. Rucker was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and participated in the nursing home ministry.

Mrs. Rucker is survived by her three children, Brenda Louise Rucker (Maurice) Cinnamon and George Michael (Nollie) Rucker, both of Anderson County, and Tony Randall Rucker of Shelby County; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Paul (Susie) Cox and Harold Cox, both of Shelbyville. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie King and Onita Hill Stratton, and three brothers, Walter, Arvin, and Earl Cox.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 31 ^st at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Temple, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Pigeon Fork Cemetery with Bro. Daniel Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM Tuesday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tracy, Robert and Matthew Cinnamon, Jason, Brandon, and Todd Rucker.

Memorials in memory of Louise Rucker are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
