Louise Jamerson Drury, 91, wife of the late David Edmond Drury, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Spring Arbor of Frankfort, Kentucky. Born in Anderson County, Kentucky, on March 8, 1935, Louise was the daughter of the late Reuben and Katherine Hanks Jamerson.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Reuben Jamison, Jr.
Louise retired as a supervisor in the Motor Carriers Division of the Kentucky Department of Transportation. She was a faithful member of Sand Spring Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday School secretary for many years. Louise had a tremendous love for the University of Kentucky sports. She and her husband, David, attended UK games from the time the Wildcats played in Memorial Coliseum until her health no longer allowed her to attend. Following her retirement, she enjoyed playing bingo.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Nancy Jackson and her husband Rick of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren, David Sawyer of Hardyville, Tara Sullivan of Danville, Shannon (Jay) Dutta of Frankfort, and Rachel (Shannon) Kennedy of Frankfort; 8 great grandchildren; and two nieces, Brenda (Tom) Paul and Kathy (Sammy) Allen.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Hanks, Steven Royalty, Scott Brown, David Oney and Robert Shearer.
