Lou Elane Towles Rose, 82, wife of the late Robert Rose, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. Born June 22, 1937 in Bowling Green, KY, Lou was the only child of the late Harry and Bertie Logdon Towles.
Lou formerly worked as an administrative secretary for Kentucky State Government and as a secretary at Saffell Street School for the Anderson County Board of Education. She was a member of Hope Community Church and was active with Stephen's Ministries. Lou formerly taught Sunday school and led bible studies. She enjoyed counseling, mentoring, playing golf, and fishing.
Lou is survived by her three sons, Kelly Rose (wife Donna) of Dry Ridge, Harry Rose (Wife Sheila) of Lawrenceburg, and Steve Rose (wife Alissa) of Frankfort; eight grandchildren Callie Mae Rose, Tanner Rose, Anna Grace Rose, Katelyn Rose, Justin (Sandy) Dearinger, Kenzie Rose, Gabriel Rose, and Kiera Rose; four great grandchildren Rachelle Broughton Boyd, Haven Dearinger, Ashlyn Dearinger, Darion Dearinger; and two great-great grandchildren Lucas and Lily Boyd.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5 th from 10 am – 1 pm with services following at 1:00 pm at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Bro. Steve Wells and Bro. Jeff Eaton will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Reynolds, Jason Gilbert, Carl Doolin, Chuck Austin, Dave Sullivan and Marty Carter.
