Lawrence Edward Warford, 87, of New Albany, IN, a former 42 year resident of Daytona Beach, FL, husband of Alma Milburn Warford, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at his home in Indiana. Born July 10, 1929, in Anderson County, KY. Lawrence was the son of the late Hollie W. Warford, Sr. and Stella Overstreet Warford. Along with his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence E. "Larry" Warford, Jr., and four brothers, Hollie Warford, Jr., Marshall Warford, Davis Warford, and Walter Warford.

Lawrence was a retired supervisor for the A&P Grocery Store in Daytona Beach, beginning his career with the chain of stores in the former Lawrenceburg A&P. He was a member of the Anderson Masonic Lodge #90 and Shriners of Louisville, KY.

Including his wife of 58 years, Alma, Lawrence is survived by a daughter Cynthia (Eric) Penland of New Albany, IN; two sons, Gary L. (Carleen) Warford of CA, and Barry W. Warford of FL, two stepsons, Leonard Clark of Lexington and Terry R. (Lisa) Clark of Louisville;; daughter-in-law, Joann Kirsch Warford of Lawrenceburg; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; three brothers, John R. (Shirley) Warford of Denver, Robert L. (Yuki) Warford of Vine Grove, and Alton L. (Betty) Warford of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Jane (Jack) Spencer of S.C., and Nancy (Stewart) Brown of Lawrenceburg; and his sister-in-law, Mary Nevins "Blondie" Warford of Lawrenceburg.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, November 14 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Terry Cooper and Matt Sawyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 – 6 PM Sunday. Masonic Rites will be held Sunday afternoon.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gregg Brown, Kevin Brown, Mark Warford, Davy Warford, Adam Warford and Zachary Penland.
