Laurett Victoria Stucker Votaw, age 59, wife of Derek Votaw, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023.

Laurett was born April 30, 1964 in Lexington, KY.  She was a former employee with Spectrum, and had attended Lawrenceburg Baptist Church.  She was a graduate of Anderson County High School, where she was a Flag Majorette.  Laurett  enjoyed cooking, doing crafts, and dancing.

Including her husband Derek, Laurett is survived by her two sons, Daniel Hicks and wife Chelsea  and Tyler Hicks and wife Bertie;  her sister, Gloria Clark and husband Steve T.;  her brother, Mac Carter;  two grandchildren;  her father-in-law, Steve Votaw and his wife Ann;  her mother-in-law, Pam Votaw;  and her brother-in-law, Patrick Votaw.  Laurett was preceded in death by her parents, Hadgie Durr Carter & Garnet J. Carter.

Celebration of life services will be 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Montgomery officiating. A time of visitation with family will be from 5 P.M., till time of service at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday.

Honorary bearers will be Daniel Hicks, Tyler Hicks, Margaret Cotton and Misty Peach.
