Larry Randal Crockett, 67, of Lawrenceburg passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the U. K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. He was born Nov. 26, 1946 in Mt. Sterling, KY and is the son of William and Naomi Wright Crockett of Jeffersonville, KY.

Larry worked 33 years as a mechanical engineer for the University of Kentucky. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and was a KY Colonel. Along with his work, Larry enjoyed fishing and restoring old cars.

Including his parents, he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Williams Crockett; four children, Timothy (Nadine) McKenzie of Charlotte, NC, Terri (Craig) Johnson of Roswell, GA, Karen (Les) Potter of Port Orange, FL, and Kevin (Patti) McKenzie of Riverview, FL; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; five sisters, Peggy (Donald) Little of Mt. Sterling, Deborah (David) Pribble of Williamsburg, VA, Barbara Palmer of Winchester, Connie (Benny) Helton of Jeffersonville, and Cheryl (Gary) Fuller of Cynthiana.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, Aug. 20 ^th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg with Rev. Gary Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Bill and Edward Thompson, Benny Helton, David Pribble, Donald and Randy Little.
