LAWRENCEBURG – Larry E. Chisholm, age 84, husband of 63 years to Azile Chisholm, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024. Larry was born on February 19, 1940 in Gest, KY to the late Eddie T. Chisholm and Carrie May Chisholm.

Larry retired after a fulfilling career as a forklift driver at Buffalo Trace Distillery. He was also a member of Ninevah Christian Church. Known for his love of fishing, hunting and farming, Larry took great pride in raising tobacco and cattle. Larry also found great joy in spending time with his family, where he was renowned for his humor and lively stories about Sasquatch and Davy Crockett.

Along with his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Gilbert Lee Chisholm and Eddie Thomas Chisholm, Jr.; step-brother Hillis Chisholm; and step-sister, Phyllis Webster.

Larry is survived by his wife, Azile Robinson Chisholm; his sons, Tim Chisholm (Marla) and Todd Chisholm; six grandchildren, Jason Chisholm (Catherine), Will Chisholm (Julie), Jena Chisholm, David Chisholm (Ashley), Josie Chisholm (Wyatt), and Jake Chisholm (Lexy); and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2024 followed by the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM Saturday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Will Cooper officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Chisholm, Will Chisholm, David Chisholm, Jake Chisholm, Mike Robertson, and Wyatt Trumble. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Harold Reynolds, Bill Helling, Randy Watts, and Ray Caldwell.
