Kenneth D. Rucker, 92, of Lawrenceburg passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the home of his daughter in Lawrenceburg. He was the husband of the late Mildred Best Rucker and father of the late Patricia Ann Rucker.

Born January 11, 1923 in Anderson County, KY, Kenneth was the son of the late John Sanford Rucker and Dora Dean Burk Rucker. He was a retired employee of Universal Fasteners and served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. A member of the Pleasant Hill Christian Church, he enjoyed fishing and playing his guitar.

Kenneth is survived by a daughter Terry F. Goodlett (Bennie) of Lawrenceburg, 3 grandchildren, Nathan Kincaid (Cherish), Robert Goodlett (Crystal), Linda Hudson (Tim); 7 great grandchildren, Kayla Clem, Christian and Brittany Kincaid, Destiny, Torrie, Gabe and Layne Goodlett; 1 great-great grandson, Colton Lee Kincaid; four sisters, Iva Dean Gabhart of Louisville, Alva May Cook and Edith Frances Waits of Shelbyville, and Elva Myrtle Powell of IN.

Along with his wife, parents and daughters, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorenia May Whitehouse and Lou Ella Rucker; and three brothers, Ira B. Rucker, Marion Ervin Rucker, and Lee Rucker.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home. Claude Waldridge and Jerry Perry will officiate. Burial will follow in the Best Cemetery in Anderson County with military honors. Visitation will be 5–8 pm Thursday.

Nathan and Christian Kincaid, Jimmy Pittman, Junior Powell, Larue Ruble, David Glass, and David Rucker will serve as pallbearers. His sisters, Elva Powell, Alva Cook, Iva Dean Gabhart, and Edith Waits will serve as honorary bearers.
