Kenneth Harvey Montgomery, age 78, husband of the late Connie June Carter Montgomery, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at his home in Lawrenceburg. He was the son of the late Thompson Eugene Montgomery and Hallie Evelyn Wilkerson Montgomery.

Born on June 17, 1946, in Boyle County, Kenneth dedicated much of his life to hard work as a union construction worker before retiring. He was a proud member of Ballard Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Local Carpenters Union 1650. Kenneth was known for his kindness, strong work ethic, and love for his family. He enjoyed many hobbies, including playing card games like Rummy, fishing, farming, and carpentry. He found peace in spending time outdoors and often relaxed on his front porch. During his leisure time, Kenneth was known to enjoy watching Westerns.

Kenneth is survived by his two children, Janet Schell (and the late Tim) of Lawrenceburg and Alan Montgomery (Misty) of Willisburg; five grandchildren, Sarah Lynn Snipes (AJ), Megan Schell (Aaron Kinne), Aaron Thomas Schell (Tate), Isaiah Montgomery, and Nathaniel Montgomery; and four great grandchildren, Ben Snipes, Koen Snipes, Lincoln Snipes, and Ellison Kinne. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tina Marie Schell.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Monty Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday starting at 11:00 AM until the time of the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Isaiah Montgomery, Aaron Thomas Schell, Nathaniel Montgomery, Aaron Kinne, AJ Snipes, and Randy Montgomery.
