Katherine "Kay" May Bontrager Amburgey, 82, wife of William Henry Amburgey, died Friday, December 30, 2016 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born October 14, 1934 in Middletown, Ohio, Kay was the daughter of the late Oliver and Helen Perry Bontrager.

Kay was a member of Freedom Baptist Church, a former bookkeeper and enjoyed fishing.

Kay is survived by her husband of 50 years, William Henry "Hank" Amburgey; three children, David (Tricia) Bontrager of Williamstown, KY, Don Ray (Barbara) Amburgey of Las Vegas, NV and Linda Jewell (Daniel) Shepherd of Tempe, AZ; two grandchildren, Barbara Parkinson of Phoenix, AZ and Jason Logan of Louisville, KY; eight great grandchildren; a brother, William "Bill" (Karen) Bontrager of Gratis, OH; and two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Bontrager of Middletown, OH, Lillian Bontrager of Chattanooga, TN. And Special Friends Paul and Marsha Proctor.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and David Bontrager; and a grandson, Don "Donnie" Amburgey.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, at the Freedom Baptist Church, 1010 Powell Taylor Road., Lawrenceburg, KY. Bro. Steve Wells will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, KY. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 PM – 8 PM at Freedom Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Proctor, Tyler Hill, Marty Bertram, David Bontrager, Randy Crab and Tim Hammonds
