Justin Layne Barnette, 30, of Danville, formerly of Lawrenceburg, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital in Harrodsburg, KY.

Justin was a 2008 graduate of Anderson County High School and formerly worked as a chef at Farm House Restaurant in Parksville. Justin enjoyed fishing, drawing art pictures, collecting Pokémon cards, and cooking. But most of all he enjoyed the times he spent with his children.

Justin is the son of Jackie L. (wife Darline) Barnette and Joie Cox (husband David) Lyons, all of Harrodsburg. He is also survived by his three children, Kadan, Kory, and Kinzi Medley; two brothers, Jacob and Joseph Barnette; paternal grandparents, Jackie and Garnetta Barnette; and maternal grandfather, Ricky Darnell.

Justin was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mildred Maddox Darnell, and his paternal grandmother, Crevilon Bond.

Visitation will be held from 11 – 1 Friday followed immediately by the service at 1:00 PM Friday, July 17th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Wolfe officiating.  Cremation will follow the services.
