Julie Faith Gabhart Bowen, 49, of Lawrenceburg, wife of 31 years of James Travis Bowen, passed away suddenly Friday, July 29, 2016. Born August 26, 1966 in California, Julie is the daughter of Bobby Gabhart and his wife Kathy of Washington Co. and the late Joy Lynn Drury Gabhart. Including her mother, Julie was predeceased by a brother, Jacob Gabhart.

Julie was a beautiful wife, mom, nana, sister, daughter, and friend whose life was an inspiration to many. She was a Christian woman who genuinely loved people and touched the lives of everyone she met. Her smile and sweet spirit will be missed by her family, friends, students, and co-workers.

A teacher for 25 years, Julie taught at Western Anderson and Robert B. Turner Elementary schools in Anderson County. She received her Master's Degree in Education from Georgetown College and was a member of the Antioch Christian Church and KY Educational Assoc.

Along with her husband and father, Julie is survived by her daughters, Brittany Joy (Jules) Montinar of San Marcos, TX, and Shana Brooke (Nick) Wallace of Prattville, AL, two grandchildren, Maya and Madden Montinar, four sisters, Jennifer (Tim) Jeffries, Bobbi Lynn (Steve) Schott, Krystal (Cal) Adams, and Kasey (J.R.) Vance, father and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Sandra Bowen, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and two special boys.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Revs. Cal Adams, Bart Price, and Rick Burdette will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 – 8 PM Monday and after 9 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
