Julia Anne Rakestraw, age 58, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 in Lexington, Kentucky.  Julia was born April 11, 1965 in Morganfield, Kentucky to Thomas Lee Rakestraw, Sr. and Carolyn Joyce Ford Rakestraw of Lawrenceburg.

Julia was a homemaker, and of the Christian faith.  She graduated from Calloway County High School, and volunteered at the Anderson County Public Library in the gardening area.

Along with her parents Thomas and Carolyn, Julia is survived by her sons, Trevor Rakestraw (Charles) of Salisbury, Maryland, and Micah Rakestraw of Lawrenceburg;  a brother, Michael Rakestraw (Donna) of Lawrenceburg.

Julia was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Lee Rakestraw, Jr. and Richard Alan Rakestraw.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Ellcessor officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 noon till time of service at 1:00 P.M.

Casket bearers will be Micah Rakestraw, Trevor Rakestraw, Dylan Rakestraw, Matthew Rakestraw, Nick Rakestraw, Jason Rakestraw and Heath Shewmaker.
