Judy Gail Hyatt Penwell, age 76, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025 in Lexington, Kentucky.  Judy was born June 2, 1949 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky to the late William Warren Hyatt and Nina Pearl Sea Hyatt.

Including her parents, Judy was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Warren Hyatt.

Judy was a loving and caring person, always wanting to help others without any judgement. She enjoyed crafts and was passionate about veteran's rights.  She enjoyed riding motorcycles and supported the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Group.

Judy is survived by her sons, Benjamin Bernard Shepard and his wife Glenna of Louisville, and Zachary Scott Penwell of Georgetown; grandchildren, Tyler Shepard, Celeste Shepard and Kingston Penwell; great grandchildren, Austin Shepard, Oliver Shepard, Braxton Crouch and Maddy Crouch; a brother, William Keith Hyatt of Lawrenceburg; and a sister, Dana Kay Lyens of Lawrenceburg; and four nieces and a nephew.

No public services are scheduled.
