Memorial Service Broadcast for Judith Ann Kikendall

Judith Ann Huffgarden Kikendall, age 80, wife of 55 years to the late David Macarthur Kikendall, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. She was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Alfred Alvin Huffgarden and Neva Uhrig Huffgarden.

In addition to her parents and husband, Judith was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Megan Nicole Kikendall; and brother-in-law, Roy Redick.

Judith is survived by her sons, Mark Allen Kikendall (Donda) of Lawrenceburg and Kevin John Kikendall (Paula Clark) of Zebulon, NC; grandson Luke Alexander Kikendall; three siblings, Linda Redick of Fletcher, OH, Gary Huffgarden (Linda) of Conover, OH, and Lonnie Huffgarden (Ginni) of West Alexandria, OH; numerous nieces and nephews, and her close friends at Dominion.

Judith spent her childhood in Dayton, Ohio, until she was married, when she moved to Loami, Illinois. During her time there she was a homemaker who was dedicated to raising her boys, as well as a volunteer for the fire department, where she worked her way up to Chief. While living there she also ran her own pottery studio for many years. She moved to Frankfort in 2011 to be closer to her son. Judith was an avid quilter, she was a member of Central Kentucky Homemakers Quilt Guild, where she made many quilts for the nursery in hospitals and the elderly at different nursing homes. Her other interests include volunteering, listening to music, and birdwatching. She adored her boys and grandkids. Judith is described by her sons as having never met a stranger and making friends easily.

Memorial service will be 5:00 P.M., Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating. Visitation will take place from 4:00 P.M. till time of service on Friday.
