Juanita Coke Stratton, a woman of faith and the heart of the Stratton family, passed away July 12, 2018 at the Hospice Care Center at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. She was 99 years of age. Born in McBrayer, Kentucky on August 15, 1918 to Rama Morris Coke Stratton and John Harrison Coke, Juanita grew up along the banks of Salt River, where she played with her sisters and cousins, and childhood sweetheart and eventual husband, John Stratton.

Juanita was a long time member of the Lawrenceburg United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 60 years. She retired from Edward's Sausage Company in 1981. A remarkable woman, whose strength lie in her gentleness, Juanita was loving and giving to everyone. She loved reading, watching British mysteries, Christmas and spending time with her large family.

After a marriage of nearly 45 years, Juanita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Franklin Stratton. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Rama Evelyn Coke, Dorothy Coke Gesuero, and Virginia Carlin "Connie" Coke; her son, John Leslie Stratton, and grandson, John Kelly Cooper. She was cherished by her surviving children; Kathleen Stratton Cooper, Ben Franklin Stratton and Gigi Stratton Moffett; her grandchildren; Larry Cooper, Alan Cooper, Terry Cooper, Sandra Stratton, Dawn Stratton, Charlie Stratton, Chris Stratton, Maryellen Stratton, Jay Moffett, Ryan Moffett, Jan Moffett and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 17 ^th beginning at 4:00 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Rev. Erroll Archerson and Chaplain George Smith will officiate the service. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 2 – 4 PM.
