Funeral Service Broadcast for Joyce Stucker

Joyce Betty Brown Stucker, 88, wife of the late William Allen "Bill" Stucker, passed away May 20, 2024 at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, KY.  Born in Mercer County, KY on March 4, 1936, Joyce was the daughter of the late Marvin D. Brown and Vergie Stratton Brown.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death a brother, Bruce Brown.

Joyce was an administrative section supervisor in the Finance Department of KY State Government for over 35 years.  A member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church and the Faithfull Workers Sunday school class, she loved to travel, especially to Daytona Beach, FL and spending time with her family.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Lynda (husband Robert) Shearer of Salvisa; two grandsons, Robert Shearer II (wife Karen) of Harrodsburg and Richard Shearer (wife Jolene) of Lawrenceburg; four great grandchildren, Makayla Shearer, Trace Shearer, Michael Shearer, and Sara Shearer; and a sister-in-law, Jackie Brown of Southlake, TX.

Visitation will be 11 am – 1 pm Saturday followed by the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM Saturday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Dr. Mike Hamrick will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Shearer II, Richard Shearer, Michael Shearer, Trace Shearer, John Stucker, and Mike Stucker.  Honorary bearers will be Karen Shearer, Jolene Shearer, Makayla Shearer, and Sara Shearer.
