Joyce Joann (Simpson) Montgomery, 86, of Lawrenceburg, formerly of Louisville, wife of the late David Gold Montgomery, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Bluegrass Care Navigators in Lexington. Joyce was born September 24, 1932 in Bardstown, KY, daughter of the late Ned and Irene (Saltsman) Simpson.

Including her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Hagan and two brothers, Bill Simpson and Jerry Simpson.

Joyce was a homemaker and a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceburg.

Joyce is survived by her two children, Brian Montgomery and his wife Pam of Lawrenceburg and Sonya Taylor and her husband, Kirk of Versailles; five grandchildren, Kayla Montgomery, Amber Montgomery, Michael Taylor and wife Stephanie, Kyle Taylor and Nathan Taylor and his wife Leslie; a great grandchild, Zoey Taylor; and two sisters, Pat DeChurch and her husband George of Louisville and Dot DeChant and her husband Larry of Iowa.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceburg with Father Jeff Estacio officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Monday with prayer service at 7:30 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Nathan Taylor and Kirk Taylor.
