Joyce Fay Brown Sutherland, 70, wife of 48 years of Kenneth R. Sutherland, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born March 1, 1945 in Nelson County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Margie Elizabeth Wilson Brown. She was also preceded in death by a brother Ricky Lynn Brown.

Joyce worked for 16 years as an employee of Wal-Mart in Lawrenceburg and Frankfort, and formerly for 10 years at Texas Instrument in Versailles. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Along with her husband, Joyce is survived by two children, Beverly G. Simpson of Lawrenceburg, and Timothy R. Sutherland of Frankfort; two grandchildren, Tamara Proctor and McKayla Sutherland; a great grandchild Zadia Proctor; and two brothers, Donnie (Carol) Brown of Georgetown and Roger (Dorothy) Brown of Lawrenceburg; and a sister-in-law, Debra Brown of Salvisa.

Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, Dec. 16th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 – 2 PM Wednesday.
