Joshua Wayne Wilson, 43, husband of Jennifer Maringer Wilson, passed away September 11, 2026 at University of Kentucky Hospital, Lexington, KY.  Born in Lexington, KY on October 2, 1982, Josh was the son of Garland Wayne Wilson of Lawrenceburg and the late Amy Ruth Collins Wilson.

Josh graduated from Anderson County High School in 2001 where he played soccer, served as senior class president, and earned his Eagle Scout award. He went on to receive an Associate Degree in Applied Mechanics from Bluegrass Community and Technical College. Following college he worked for Lockheed Martin as a Technical Service Engineer for 16 years and performed contract work in Afghanistan training the U.S. Special Operations Troops. He currently worked for Valvoline Global Operations as a Technical Operations Engineer.

Josh had many hobbies, he was an offroad enthusiast participating in numerous competitions across the country and as well recreational riding with friends at Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge. He enjoyed the water, kayaking, camping, fishing, golfing, and NASCAR.  His greatest joy was always spending time with his family and friends.  His proudest moments came while spending time with his girls and watching all their sporting activities. Eventually he became a coach and during the Spring of 2026, he helped coach their soccer team to their league championship win, his proudest coaching moment.

Along with his wife, Jennifer and his father, Wayne, Josh is survived by his two daughters, Spencer Jewell Wilson and Harper Ruth Wilson; and his beloved dog, Kolby.  He also was loved by numerous family members and friends.

Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, September 18, 2026 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Friday.
