John Witherspoon Tuell, 66, of Lexington, formerly of Lawrenceburg, passed away November 18, 2023 at his home in Lexington.  Born in Greenville, S.C. on October 8, 1957, John was the son of C. E. "Buddy" Tuell and Mary Lou Witherspoon Tuell.

John was a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.   He retired as a salesman of medical equipment for Fukada Denshi Company.  He was an avid U.K. fan and as a young man John was an accomplished swimmer.

John is survived by his sister, Lucy Tuell Phillips of Lawrenceburg and along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert Holly Tuell.

A Celebration of John's life will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 4 – 7 PM at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.
